Screw air compressor frequency conversion and fixed frequency distinction

The distinction between frequency conversion and fixed frequency of screw air compressor can be carried out from the following aspects:

Control mode:

The inverter screw compressor adopts inverter technology, which can automatically adjust the speed according to the actual use to meet different pressure needs. It can adjust the output by changing the speed of the motor according to the change of air demand, so as to achieve intelligent control and adjustment.

The fixed-frequency screw air compressor runs according to a certain frequency, and the speed cannot be adjusted according to the need. It can only output air pressure stably at a specified speed.

Energy efficiency and energy consumption:

The inverter screw air compressor can adjust the speed according to the actual needs when working, so that the machine can be kept in the best working condition. This dynamic adjustment significantly reduces unnecessary energy consumption and increases energy efficiency. In actual use, the energy consumption of the variable frequency screw air compressor is usually about 30% to 40% less than that of the fixed frequency screw air compressor.

Fixed-frequency screw air compressors may have high energy consumption because they cannot adjust the speed at any time. When the air demand decreases, it still runs at a fixed speed, resulting in a waste of energy.

Manufacturing Costs & Maintenance:

The manufacturing cost and volume of the inverter screw air compressor are relatively large, but due to its efficient energy consumption performance and intelligent control mode, it can save a lot of energy expenditure and maintenance costs in the long run.

The fixed-frequency screw air compressor mechanism causes low cost and simple maintenance, so it still has certain applications in some occasions with high cost requirements.

Noise & Smoothness:

Variable frequency screw air compressors usually have lower working noise, run more smoothly, and provide a better working environment.

Fixed-frequency screw air compressors are relatively noisy and may affect the working environment.

To sum up, the distinction between frequency conversion and fixed frequency of screw air compressor is mainly reflected in the control mode, energy consumption, manufacturing cost and maintenance, noise and operation stability. Inverter screw air compressors are becoming more and more popular in modern industrial applications due to their intelligent control, efficient energy consumption performance and low noise level.
