The application of air compressor in pharmaceutical

Air compressors are widely used in the pharmaceutical industry, and the following are their main uses:

The high-pressure air generated by the air compressor is necessary for the stable operation of pharmaceutical equipment. For example, dry air is used to transport pharmaceutical raw materials, and compressed air is used to push pharmaceutical equipment to ensure efficient and stable operation of the equipment. Due to the presence of impurities or moisture in the air, it is easy to reduce the quality of the drug, so the high-quality purified compressed air provided by the air compressor can maintain the accuracy and stability of the drug.

The compressed air of pharmaceutical enterprises is mainly used in filling machines in liquid preparations, granulators, sizing machines, filling machines, packaging machines, printing machines in solid preparations, and extraction tanks in the extraction process. In addition, compressed air is also used for test gas, powder material transportation, drying, blowing and purging, pneumatic instrument components, automatic control gas, etc.

In pneumatic actuators, the requirement for the dust particle size of the air source is generally ≤1 μm. To meet this requirement, pharmaceutical plants need to select the right air filtration device to ensure the purity of the compressed air.

Pharmaceutical plants have strict requirements for the moisture content of compressed air. For pharmaceutical plants with a low level of automation, the pressure of compressed air is usually 5~10°C. Pharmaceutical factories with large pneumatic control instruments and equipment require compressed air to have a pressure dew point of -20~-40°C. Therefore, pharmaceutical plants need to choose the appropriate drying unit to ensure the dryness of the compressed air.

In general, the application of air compressors in the pharmaceutical industry involves all aspects of the production process, from the transportation of raw materials to the drive of equipment, to the packaging and quality control of products, all of which rely on air compressors to provide stable and high-quality compressed air.
